He was a contributing author on a three- volume textbook on foot and ankle surgery published by Williams and Wilkins in 1986. For the past twenty years, Dr. Rodgveller has served as an expert witness on medical malpractice issues.

From 1977 through 1984 he was part of the attending staff at the University of Southern California Medical Center and a clinical assistant professor of the southern campus, of the California College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Rodgveller acted as residency director at Bay Harbor Hospital before its sale and closure by Little Company of Mary Hospital.

In 1976, Dr. Rodgveller founded the Baja Project for Crippled Children and acted as its Director until 1986. The clinics are located in Tijuana and Mexicali, Mexico and are staffed on a voluntary basis. They also serve as residency-training programs for many of the podiatric residencies throughout Southern California. Because of his special training he has a great deal of interest and understanding in treating pediatric deformities.

Dr. Rodgveller received his Bachelor of Science degree from Long Island University and then attended the California College of Podiatric Medicine, for four years, where he received his Doctor of Podiatric degree. He completed his surgical residency programs at the University of Texas Medical School, in San Antonio, Texas and at Northlake Community Hospital in Northlake, Illinois.
